You weren't planning to go anywhere. Then you remember the pan on the stove, the ladder still out in the yard, or the small repair you promised to finish.
Staying home doesn't make every task a good fit for being high.
Cannabis can affect attention, memory, coordination, decisions, and reaction time. Those skills matter around heat, tools, heights, and people who depend on you, just as they do on the road.
Leave the job for later
Familiar jobs can be easy to underestimate. You've used that saw plenty of times. You know how the ladder opens. But experience doesn't remove the need to react when something slips or jams.
Postpone the task, or ask an unimpaired adult to handle it. Don't let a small job become a test of whether you can manage it anyway.
The same goes for looking after someone else. If a child or another person relies on you, make sure an unimpaired adult is available and knows they're responsible. Don't assume everyone in the house has made the same arrangement in their head.
A useful plan starts with the actual jobs waiting for you, not just whether you need the car. Check those responsibilities before the evening gets away from you.
